| Event Information | According to Altiris: Cause: The Identity security account is not setup properly for the Application Pools and DefaultAppPool under IIS manager. Resolution: For this case, we found out that the issue was that the account used under Identity (IIS manager>right-click on Application Pools>Properties >Identity tab) in the Application Pools and Default Application Pool were different in IIS manager. Application Pools had Network Services and DefaultAppPool has Local System. We changed both to be Local System. The Incident Tab and Incident Settings pages opened without problems.When we tried to put both under Network Services, the Incident Tab got the same error. We left both places using Local System.Told customer to review permissions on his IIS because it is not recommended to use Local System as the default account. |
