The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Error opening HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE on local machine (Error 203).
Event InformationFrom a newsgroup post:
Cause: The Exchange 2000 server has a Castelle FaxPress 6.3 connector installed. The FaxPress connector for Exchange 2000 has encountered a problem due to a bug in the software or an interruption in communication with the FaxPress Native Attachment Gateway(NAG). The FaxPress connector does not tolerate loss of connection with the NAG, very well. Interestingly, inbound faxes continued to route correctly in spite of this error.
Solution: First verify that the Native Attachment Gateway(NAG) service is up and running on the machine that hosts the NAG and that the Exchange server is able to reach the NAG server. In the Exchange 2000 System Manager locate the FaxPress E2K Connector in the Connectors folder. Stop and then start the FaxPress E2K Connector. Verify that the error is no longer occurring and that faxes are still flowing between the NAG and the connector, both inbound and outbound. In some cases it is necessary to restart the NAG after the FaxPress E2K Connector has been restarted.
