| Event Information | Explanation: This Error event is logged when the Microsoft® Exchange Server offline address list generation process cannot locate an address list in the Active Directory® directory service. If an OALGen cannot find an address list, OABGen cannot generate or update offline address lists. The Microsoft Exchange System Attendant is responsible for calling OABGen DLL so that address lists can be generated or updated. OABGen DLL is a MAPI application that reads from Active Directory through Name Service Provider Interface (NSPI) calls. A correctly configured Active Directory is required for successful offline address book generation. User Action: To resolve this event, do one or more of the following: Use the Microsoft Windows® 2000 Server or Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 support tool Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit to determine whether there are any Exchange Server objects in the LostandFoundConfig container. Perform the following procedure to locate and delete any Exchange Server objects in the LostandFoundConfig container. If you incorrectly modify the attributes of Active Directory objects when you use Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit, the LDP (ldp.exe) tool, or another Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) version 3 client, you may cause serious problems. These problems may require that you reinstall Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003, or both. Modify Active Directory object attributes at your own risk. To look for orphaned Exchange Server objects: Start ADSI Edit, and then locate the LostandFoundConfig container: CN=LostAndFoundConfig,CN=Configuration,DC=Domain,DC=com Right-click the orphaned Exchange Server object, and then click Delete.
