Cause :
This event is logged when an error occurred while trying to read the list of banned client GUIDs from the registry.
Resolution :
Confirm that the registry data and permissions are correct
The Windows Deployment Services PXE server must be able to read the necessary configuration settings from the registry. If any registry data is corrupt or missing, or if the PXE server does not have sufficient permissions, the PXE server will fail.
To resolve this issue, ensure that the registry data and permissions are correct.
Caution :
Incorrectly editing the registry might severely damage your system. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data.
To perform this procedure, you must either be a member of the local Administrators group or have been delegated the appropriate authority.
To ensure that the registry data and permissions are correct:
1.Open Registry Editor. (ClickStart, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.)
2.Ensure that the WDSPXE registry key exists at the following location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WDSServer\Providers.
3.If this key exists at the specified location, ensure that the SYSTEM account used byWDSPXE has permission to read from the registry. To do this, right-click theWDSServer node, clickPermissions, clickSYSTEM, and then ensure thatFull Control is selected.
4.If theWDSPXE key is missing or corrupt, you will need to reinitialize the server. To do this, open the Command Prompt window, runwdsutil /uninitialize-server, and then runwdsutil /initialize-server /reminst:

To verify that the PXE server has updated the configuration settings:
1.Open Event Viewer. (ClickStart, typeEvent Viewer in theStart Search box, and then press ENTER.)
2.In the left pane, expand Custom Views, expandServer Roles, and then clickWindows Deployment Services.
3.Click theDate and Time column heading to sort the events based on date and time.
