DescriptionComponent: Compaq Fibre Channel Storage Agent Error: Could not read the registry subkey: <subkey>. Cause: This error can be caused by a corrupt registry or a low memory condition. Rebooting the server may correct this error.
Event InformationThis problem occurs when the registry keys required by the fiber channel agent are absent. The registry keys are created when the fibre channel agent starts and destroyed when the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent stops. However, in version 6.0.0.0 (and earlier) of the storage agents, the registry keys are not created because the fiber channel agent aborts while initializing. The fiber channel agent aborts when an attached HBA or router does not support a call made by the agent.

For example, the problem will occur on a server that is configured with a StorageWorks Network Storage Router M2402 or StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array HSV Controller - HSV110.
