| Event Information | According to Citrix Support: Cause 1: If the user name or password you specified contains a reserved character, the Windows command prompt will not treat the reserved character as plain text. Reserved characters include: & | ( ) < > ^ Resolution : When entering a user name or password that contains a reserved character, you have two options: • Enclose the reserved character with double quotes; for example,Dsmaint /user:m”&”f /pwd:m”^”frame • Precede the reserved character with a carat (shift+6); for example,Dsmaint /user:m^&f /pwd:m^^frame Note: Because the carat itself is a reserved character, to enter it as part of the user name or password requires that you precede it with another carat or enclose it in double quotes. Cause 2: Using the Windows NT authentication to connect to a SQL data store, the domain name is required for the user name. Resolution: You must specify the user name as DomainName\Username in the DSMAINT CONFIG command when using Windows NT authentication to connect to the data store. |
