DescriptionThe root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: This CMS will not startup because the current time on this computer and the current time on the computer of the CMS called "{Remote Server Name}" is different by more than ### minutes.)."
Event InformationSolution:
This message appears because the computers in use have not synchronized their system time settings. The computers must synchronize their system time settings.

This can be accomplished by the use of a nearby Atomic or Authoritative Time Server to synchronize the time on your server. All Windows operating systems contain a 'Windows Time' or 'W32Time' service which use the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to communicate time. The steps below outline the usage of the Microsoft Authoritative Time Server in Redmond, Washington:
1. Access the 'Windows Time' service on your Windows server through the Control Panel or the Computer Management interface.
2. If the 'Windows Time' service is running, stop it. If it is not running, configure the 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic'.
3. Now open a 'Command Prompt' window. Click 'Start', 'Run', and then type the following command in the 'Open' text box: net time /setsntp:131.107.1.10
