DescriptionThe DNS proxy agent was unable to read the local list of name-resolution servers from the registry. The data is the error code.
Event InformationExplanation :
This event is usually logged when Internet Connection Sharing cannot find the DNS servers because a dial-up, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), or asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) connection is being shared. These types of connections are not ready when Internet Connection Sharing starts, so the DNS servers cannot be found. This event is logged when the computer is restarted or when the Internet connection is disconnected.

In other cases, this event is logged when the registry information for Internet Connection Sharing or for TCP is corrupted.

User Action :
If clients of the Internet Connection Sharing server can access the Internet when the server is connected, no user action is required.

If the clients cannot access the Internet, typically resulting in Page Not Found or Server Not Found errors, turn Internet Connection Sharing off, and then reinstall it.

To turn ICS off
In Control Panel, double-click Network Connections.
Right-click the Shared connection, and then click Properties.
On the Advanced tab, clear the Allow other network users to connect through this computers Internet connection check box.
