Sourcetsmlvsa
DescriptionEncountered exception [C0000005] during copy-on-write operation.
Event InformationAccording to IBM:
CAUSE:

This problem occurs when the TSM LVSA (logical volume snapshot agent) detects a system, memory, filesystem read/write failure. The TSM LVSA however does not move into an error state and notify TSM, which can cause repeated Event 29 message events to occur (potentially flooding the system event log). This could also potentially cause long term instability of the operating system.

RESOLUTION:
which might be observed in the form of a hung TSM backup, or an unresponsive/hung Windows operating system. No TSM client errors are identified for this timeframe in the dsmerror.log or dsmsched.log files, and no dump files (ie.dsmcrash.dmp or memory.dmp) are created by the errors above.TSM Versions Affected: TSM 5.3 Windows clients Initial Impact.
