| Event Information | The alert function is especially interesting from a security standpoint. When a specified counter or counters cross a specified threshold, it causes a specified action. The action can be an event (source: SysMonLog, event ID: 2031), or it can start a performance log or run a specific command. If a command is specified, the alert function can pass information about the alert to the command. |
