DescriptionUnable to find virtual hard disk file '%3'. Error: %1 (%2).
Event InformationAccording to Microsoft:
Cause :
This event is logged when unable to find virtual hard disk file.
Resolution :
Check VHD
Check and ensure a valid .vhd file (image) exists, has the right permissions, and is attached.
You may get this failure if the image, connection, and/or permissions are mismatched. For example, an image file can be a virtual hard disk (.vhd file), or a virtual DVD disc (.iso file). If a text file with a .txt file name extension were renamed with a .vhd file name extension, you would get an error that the image is not valid. If you attempted to attach a .vhd virtual hard disk to a SCSI controller and that controller is not supported by the operating system, you would also get an error. You might also get this error if the image is valid, but in a different location than specified, or in the location specified, but not accessible by the user credential.
There may be multiple issues. You should start with the error message. For example, if the error message states the image "may have been removed from the system" begin by checking the location of the file. If the file is present, check permissions issues.
Verify :
The vhdsvc service is displayed in a running state in the service control manager and all the operations on vhd files complete successfully.
