DescriptionOne or more Terminal Services Licensing certificates on server SERVER are corrupt. Terminal Services Licensing will only issue temporary licenses until the server is reactivated. See Terminal Services Licensing help topic for more information.
Event InformationAccording to Microsoft :

Cause :

This event is logged when recorded in the System log on a Windows 2000 Server-based computer that is running Terminal Services Licensing Server.

Resolution :

Stop the Terminal Services Licensing service, rename the Terminal Services Licensing folder, remove the Terminal Services Licensing program from your computer, restart your computer, reinstall the Terminal Services Licensing program, and then reinstalled the Terminal Services Licenses.

To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start , point to Programs , point to Administrative Tools , and then click Services .
  2. In the right pane, right-click Terminal Services Licensing , and then click Stop . After the Terminal Services Licensing service stops, close Services.
  3. Click Start , point to Programs , point to Accessories , and then click Command Prompt .
  4. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and then press ENTER after each command:
    cd System_Root\system32
    ren LServer LServerOLD
  5. Close the Command Prompt window.
  6. Click Start , point to Settings , and then click Control Panel .
  7. Double-click Add/Remove Programs , and then click Add/Remove Windows Components .
  8. In the Components list, click to clear the Terminal Services Licensing check box, and then click Next .
  9. On the Terminal Services Setup page, click Next , and then click Finish .
  10. Restart your computer.
  11. Click Start , point to Settings , and then click Control Panel .
  12. Double-click Add/Remove Programs , and then click Add/Remove Windows Components .
  13. In the Components list, click to select the Terminal Services Licensing check box, and then click Next .
  14. On the Terminal Services Setup page, click Application server mode , and then click Next .
  15. On the Terminal Services Licensing Setup page, click the option you want to use, type the path of your license server database in the Install license server database at this location box, and then click Next .
  16. Click Finish , close Add/Remove Programs , and then close Control Panel .
  17. Click Start , point to Programs , point to Administrative Tools , and then click Event Viewer .
  18. In the System log, verify the existence of two events that are similar
  19. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
  20. Expand the System_Root \system32 folder and verify that the LServer folder has been created.
  21. Click Start , point to Programs , point to Administrative Tools , and then click Terminal Services Licensing .
  22. Right-click the name of your licensing server, and then click Activate .
  23. Follow the steps in the Licensing Wizard to activate your licensing server.
  24. Reinstall the Terminal Server Licenses.
