| Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause : This event is logged when the SCM signals the service to shut down. Resolution : Start the service Note: Membership in the localAdministrators group is required to complete this procedure. To start the Diagnostic Policy service: 1.ClickStart, click in theStart Search box, typeservices.msc, and press ENTER. 2.In theName column, clickDiagnostic Policy Service. 3.Right-click Diagnostic Policy Service, and then clickStart. Verify: Membership in the localAdministrators group is required to complete this procedure. To verify that the Diagnostic Policy service is running: 1.ClickStart, click in the Start Search box, typeservices.msc, and press ENTER. 2.Check if the status ofDiagnostic Policy Service is Started. If the entry in the Status column is empty, the service is not running. |
