I have experienced this myself. I have found a work around for it since none of the vendors I deal with want to take responsibility for the action. I have SBS2000, BackupExec 8.6 and TrendMicro for SBS2000 installed. What I have found to be the problem in my case is that if I let OfficeScan RealTime Monitor start up automatically, it takes forever for the server to boot up. If I go into services and set it to start manually, it boots up just fine and all I have to do is remember to go in to start the OfficeScan RealTime Monitor. The weird thing is this.If I dont have TrendMicro on, everything boots up. If I take TrendMicro off and then install BackUp Exec 8.6(and 8.5) everything works fine or if I install both Backup Exec 8.6 and TrendMicro and only have one network card in the server everything boots fine. But when I have two network cards and have both Trend and BackupExec on at the same time and forget to tell OfficeScan to start manually..my problem reappears. I have talked to Trend and to BackupExec and to Microsoft about this problem an
