RESOLUTION

A Service Account has probably been created for this installation. To verify this, start the Control Center, select Tools > System Settings, and open the Service Account tab details.

A Service Account is only required for a ""Shared Message"" folder installation. The default installation for ON Command Discovery is an IP-Transfer installation. A ""Shared Message"" folder installation is only required if your system does NOT support IP.
Creating this account on an IP-Transfer installation results in the creation of a file named Discover.sys in the Discovery installation folder.
If this file is present, the Centennial Server Agent (SAgent.exe) will fail to start because it ""thinks"" that it cannot access Shared Message Folder, which, of course, does not exist because the installation is an IP-Transfer installation.

To check which type of installation you are running

Do one of the following:
Using MS-Explorer, open the client files folder. If a sub-folder named messages exists, then it is a shared message folder installation.
Check the contents of the Uninst.log file.
If this is an IP-Transfer installation
ClientFolder=C:\Program Files\Centennial\Discovery\ClientFiles\
SharedFolder=C:\Program Files\Centennial\Discovery\Messages
If this is shared message folder installation
ClientFolder=C:\Program Files\Centennial\Discovery\ClientFiles\
SharedFolder=C:\Program Files\Centennial\Discovery\Clientfiles\Messages"
