Resolution
Update environment variables
If Windows Installer updates environment variables or adds new environment variables, you may need to log off the computer and log back on before the changes affect an application running under the Local System account. In some cases, you may need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
To ensure that environment variables are updated:
1.Log off Windows and log back on.
2.If you still experience problems running the application, try restarting the computer.
Verify
System environment variables are refreshed every time you log on to Windows. You can use the following procedure to verify the environment variables that Microsoft Windows Installer added during installation.
To verify that your environment variables were refreshed by Windows Installer:
1.Click Start, click Control Panel, double-click the System icon (in Classic View), and then click Advanced system settings in the left pane.
2.In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab, and then click Environment Variables. In the Environment Variables dialog box, you can view the user and system variables that are currently set for your computer.
