| Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause This event is logged when the application tried to install a more recent version of the protected Windows file. Resolution Run Windows Update To run Windows Update: 1.Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update. 2.In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. 3.If any updates are found, click Install Updates. Note: To install drivers and optional updates, you need to review them and then select them in the list of updates that Windows finds on your computer. Be aware that optional updates are not installed automatically. Verify To verify that your operating system is up to date: 1.Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update. 2.In the navigation pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. Note: To make sure your computer stays up to date, you should configure your system to install updates automatically. This ensures that important updates are downloaded and installed in Windows as soon as they are available. |
