Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when computer was unable to initialize a Network Interface attached to the system. Resolution : Configure the DHCP client network interface Communication between the DHCP client computer and the DHCP server computer depends on proper configuration of TCP/IP. To perform these procedures, you must be a member of the Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. To configure TCP/IP: 1.Click Start, right-click Network, and then click Properties. 2.Under Tasks, click Manage network connections. 3.Right-click the network connection you want to configure, and then click Properties. 4.On the Networking tab, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties. 5.Click Obtain an IP address automatically. 6.Click Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK. Verify : To verify that address conflicts have been resolved: 1.At the DHCP-enabled client computer, click Start, in Start Search type cmd, and then press ENTER. 2.To verify a DHCP client lease, type ipconfig /all to view lease-status information. 3.The output of the ipconfig command should show an IPv4 or IPv6 address marked "preferred." |
