Description | This Linux worm propagates by infiltrating computers running the Apache Web server using the SSL module running on Intel x86 machines. It uses the buffer overflow exploit in OpenSSL 0.9.6d, 0.9.7-beta2 and earlier versions to gain access and control of vulnerable systems. The worm also has the ability to launch a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack using the User Data Protocol (UDP). |
