Description | OALGen encountered error %1 while opening the base offline address list public folder. Please make sure that a public folder replica exists. %2 |
Event Information | Explanation: This Error event indicates that OALGen experienced an error when it tried to rebuild an offline address list. Specifically, it experienced an error when it opened the base offline address list public folder. A common cause for this problem is that there are currently no replicas of the offline address list system folders. Your Microsoft® Outlook® clients will not be able to download offline address lists until you resolve this problem. User Action: To resolve this error Add public folder replicas for the offline address book systems folders by doing the following: 1. In Exchange System Manager, expand Administrative Groups, and then click Folders. 2. Right-click Public Folders, and then click View System Folders. 3. Expand the OFFLINE ADDRESS BOOK object. 4. Under OFFLINE ADDRESS BOOK, right-click o=org/cn=addrlists/cn=oabs/cn=Default Offline Address List, and then click Properties. 5. On the Replication tab, verify that a public folder store is entered in the Replicate content to these public stores box. If a public folder store is not entered, click Add, and then enter the appropriate public store for the offline address book. 6. Click Apply, and then click OK. 7. Expand o=org/cn=addrlists/cn=oabs/cn=Default Offline Address List. 8. Under o=org/cn=addrlists/cn=oabs/cn=Default Offline Address List, right-click OAB Version 2, and then click Properties. On the Replication tab, verify that a public folder store is entered in the Replicate content to these public stores box. If a public folder store is not entered, click Add and then enter the appropriate public store for the offline address book. 9. Repeat this step for the OAB Version 3a and OAB Version 4 folders. The OAB Version 4 folder will only be present if you are using Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2. 10. Click Apply, and then click OK. |
