| Event Information | Explanation: This Error event indicates that OALGen experienced an error when it tried to generate the offline address list specified in the event description. Specifically, it experienced an error when it tried to access the offline address list system folder. A common cause for this problem is that the hierarchy of the public folder servers that contain your offline address lists are not synchronized. Your Microsoft® Outlook® clients will not be able to download offline address lists until you resolve this problem. Resolving MSExchangeSA event 9331 frequently resolves MSExchangeSA event 9335. A common symptom of this error is that Outlook clients are reporting the following error message in the Outlook synchronization folder: "Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported error (0x8004010F) : The operation failed. An object could not be found." If you also notice MSExchangeSA event 9333, you may have to make sure that you have configured the appropriate replicas for your offline address list systems folders. User Action: To resolve this error A. Synchronize the hierarchy of the public folder servers by doing the following: 1. In Exchange System Manager, expand Administrative Groups, and then expand the group that you want to work with. 2. Expand Folders, right-click the appropriate top-level hierarchy, and then click Synchronize Hierarchy. 3.In the message dialog box, when you are prompted to confirm that you want to start replication, click Yes if you are sure that you want to perform this operation. The replication of the hierarchy starts after you click Yes. The replication may take several hours or longer to finish. If your public folder tree hierarchy and network infrastructure are large, you may want to perform this operation during non-peak hours. When you replicate the public folder hierarchy, you may cause a significant amount of replication traffic. B. Rebuild the offline address list specified |
