Description | Microsoft Exchange System Attendant has detected that the local computer is not a member of group <name>.System Attendant is going to add the local computer into the group. |
Event Information | "According To Microsoft: Explanation: This warning event indicates that the System Attendant detected that the local computer is not a member of the Exchange Domain Servers group and will automatically attempt to add the local computer to the group. While this is rare, this can happen in an instance where the Exchange server has been moved from one organizational unit (OU) in a Domain to another OU. This move causes the Distinguished Name of the server to change. However, because the System Attendant caches this value, this warning is logged. User Action: In order to refresh the cached value, you can restart the System Attendant Service. This should eliminate the warnings. If the System Attendant cannot add the local computer to the Exchange Domain Servers group, an Event 9187 will be generated. In that case, you must manually add this server to the Exchange Domain Servers group. |
