Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: This event indicates that the Exchange Server was unable to comtact a Global Catalog Server. This is not critical (which is why it is just a warning event). If there is another GC in the site, Exchange will use that GC. 1. The Global Catalog Server may be unreachable due to network connectivity issues. 2. The following registry key may be present: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Systems\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters\Initialize MAPI interface. Value: REG_DWORD Data Value: 0 User Action : 1. Ensure that the GC is up and running and reachable. 2. Delete the Registry Key mentioned in the CAUSES section, if present. |
