Description | Routing information in the Directory Service is either corrupt or incomplete. Process Id: 1760 Process location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe ComponentDN: CN=CNA,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=cnaroot,DC=com |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: This issue typically occurs when the Microsoft Active Directory directory service configuration is incomplete. The Active Directory configuration may be incomplete because multiple instances of the Exchange 2003 Setup.exe program are running. You may have multiple instances of the Exchange 2003 Setup.exe program running if you used the /chooseDC switch on different servers in the same domain or in the same forest. In this case, an additional instance of the Exchange 2003 Setup.exe program may be launched before the first Exchange 2003 server installation has been completed. RESOLUTION: To resolve this issue, follow these steps: 1. Remove Exchange 2003 from all servers by using the Setup.exe program. 2. Remove the Exchange 2003 organization from Active Directory by using the Setup.exe program with the /removeOrg switch. 3. Remove Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and ASP.NET. 4. Re-install IIS by using Add/Remove Windows Components in Control Panel, and then reinstall ASP.NET. 5. From the Exchange 2003 Setup CD, run the Setup.exe program with the /forestprep switch to add the Exchange forest objects in Active Directory. For example, type setup /forestprep. 6. From the Exchange 2003 Setup CD, run the Setup.exe program with the /domainprep switch to add the Exchange domain Schema objects in Active Directory. For example, type setup /domainprep. 7. From the Exchange 2003 Setup CD, run the Setup.exe program to re-install Exchange 2003. |
