Because of this, if you have a network organization with remote physical locations, you have to locate Exchange servers in these remote locations to achieve a good Outlook client experience. If you use Exchange 2003 with Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 in cached mode, you no longer have this restriction. This configuration permits a more cost-effective deployment because you can install Exchange Server 2003 on servers in central sites instead of on servers at remote locations.
