| Event Information | "According To Microsoft: Explanation: This event is logged when Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service (Mad.exe) is failing to connect to one of the two Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) namespaces, "root/cimv2" or"root/cimv2/applications/exchange". This issue can occur if the Exchange namespace has become unregistered in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) on the system. User Action: Ensure that the Windows Management Instrumentation service is able to start properly and that the WMI repository contains the "root/cimv2/applications/exchange" namespace. You can also ensure that MACHINENAME$ has been given access to those namespaces. Essentially, you will need to re-register the Exchange namespace in WMI. This can be done by running SETUP from the Exchange CD and choosing REINSTALL. If prompted to overwrite any files, choose not to overwrite. |
