Event Information | According to Microsoft: Explanation: This event occurs when the instance main database (<instancename>NSMain) cannot be reached by the NS$<instance_name> service. There are several reasons why the database may be unreachable. The service might have been started before the instance was created by NSControl Create. The server that hosts the database may be stopped or may be under too great a load to accept new connections. The network may be down, leaving remote computers unable to be contacted. The event log entry contains details on the cause of the error. </instance_name></instancename> User Action: Examine the event log entry to determine the root cause. Check the connectivity between the NSService computer and the SQL Server computer. Make sure SQL Server is running. Make sure that the NSMain database exists on the SQL Server instance referenced by the Notification Services instance (specified by the <sqlserversystem> element in the configuration file used at NSControl Create time).</sqlserversystem>. |
