| Event Information | According to Microsoft: CAUSE: This issue can occur when one or more damaged files are in the Program Files\POP3 Connector\Directory folder. RESOLUTION: This procedure deletes all existing POP3 server entries. Make a note of all account names and POP3 server names, and verify that you have the password information for all of the accounts before you follow this procedure. Before you add or modify the properties for a POP3 account of the connector for POP3 mailboxes: 1. Stop the Microsoft Exchange Server Connector for POP3 Mailboxes service by using the Services tool in Control Panel. 2. Open Microsoft Windows NT Explorer, and then locate and delete the files in the following folder: Program Files\POP3 Connector\Directory 3. Restart the Exchange Server Connector for POP3 Mailboxes service by using the Services tool in Control Panel. 4. Open the Exchange Administrator program, and then choose the properties of the connector for POP3 mailboxes to re-enter the information for each POP3 account as needed. |
