Description | Microsoft Exchange System Attendant was unable to locate the private key pair for Exchange Server server name |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: When the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service is started, it performs a consistency check to confirm that the public key for the server is correctly published in Active Directory. A corresponding public/private key pair is stored locally. This event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant has determined that this server failed to access the local key pair. To correct this situation, the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant will generate a new key pair for the server.This event is expected to occur when a server is restored using a Disaster Recovery install. User Action : Once the new key pair is generated, all passwords that are used by Exchange server components on this server must be re-entered using the Exchange System Management snap-in. This includes the Legacy Service Account password, SMTP/MTA passwords, and other connector passwords. |
