DescriptionAn existing appointment with the subject "<subject>" in mailbox <mailbox> was modified. The start time or both the duration and end time of the existing appointment were missing.
Event InformationAccording to Microsoft:
Exchange 2000 splits the message counts into multiple parts: the count of items with default Access Control Lists (ACLs) in the JTAB, and counts for each discretionary access control list ID (DACLID) in the discretionary access control lists (DACLs). The client notification uses the value from the JTAB, which does not correspond to the actual count of rows in the folder, or the count of rows that are available to the client. The clients later retrieve only this number of rows, which makes it seem as if the mail is lost. This problem occurs because the count of items from the JTAB (the default items) is pushed to the client in the remote procedure call (RPC) notify. The client caches these values (EMSMDB) and returns them for the next PR_CONTENT_COUNT request, instead of hitting the server.
This problem can occur because of a new permissions feature in Exchange 2000. When you assign permissions to items by using drive M (EXIFS), you affect the way that the client retrieves all of the items in the folder in which you made the permission assignment.
