| Description | The fax service isnt even running and this error occurred out of nowhere. Microsoft TechNet is no help either. |
| Event Information | This information from some newsgroups may help you: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Even though you think you are not using the fax service, it is probably set up to automatically start up. To verify this, and to correctly stop the service, do the following: Right click on My Computer, select Manage, Select Services and Applications, Select Services, On the right window, Fax service, double click on it Under Startup Type, choose Manual. Reboot if needed. Now on your next reboot, the service will stop and you will stop getting that error message in your event logs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
