Description | "Unable to route c:\Winnt.sbs\FaxReceive\<MsgNo.tif> to local inbox:<MailboxName/Alias>. The following error occurred: MAPI Error." |
Event Information | According To Microsoft: Solution: This problem results from installing Small Business Server, including its Exchange and Fax components, then uninstalling the Exchange component of Small Business Server and reinstalling the Enterprise Edition of Microsoft Exchange on the Small Business Server. The error stems from the difference in the default installation behavior of Small Business Server compared to Windows NTŪ 4.0 or Windows NT 4.0 Enterprise Edition and Microsoft Exchange Server. Unlike Standard Windows NT and Exchange, Small Business Server automatically creates the Windows NT Service Account for Exchange Server and creates the Administrator mailbox and profile. When the Small Business Server version of Exchange is uninstalled and the Enterprise Edition of Exchange is reinstalled, the Administrator mailbox is not recreated. This means that the Administrator profile is pointing to a non-existent account. Therefore, faxes can no longer be routed to the Administrator profile as configured in Fax Server Administrator. In order to correct the problem, in Exchange Server Administrator, create a mailbox for the Administrator account. Then, delete and recreate the profile for the Administrator account, being sure to name the profile "Administrator." Open Fax Server Administrator in Control Panel, and verify that the Administrator profile is set under the Routing tab. |
