Description | The Win32 API call <name> returned an error. The service could not be initialized. Make sure that the operating system was installed properly. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft: EXPLANATION: This is an error at the operating system level. It indicates that the Win32 API call made by the Active Directory Connector (ADC) service (for example, a DSGETSITENAMEW call) resulted in a failure. This has been seen in situations where Active Directory sites and subnets were not defined correctly. USER ACTION: Check to ensure that Active Directory sites have been configured correctly. If multiple sites exist, then appropriate subnets must be created. These sites have to then be associated with the appropriate subnets (including the Default-First-Site-Name). |
