| Event Information | According to Microsoft: EXPLANATION: Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) allows you to query and manage directory information using a TCP/IP connection. This problem can occur if the target server is down, if it is unreachable due to network problems, or if the Active Directory Connector (ADC) Service Account does not have permissions on the target server. USER ACTION: 1. Check network connectivity. 2. Verify that the user name, password, and port address are correct, and try again. If the problem persists, verify that the remote Exchange server is configured to support LDAP. 3. Check to see if the target domain controller/global catalog is running. 4. Check to see if you can access the target domain controller/global catalog from the server running the ADC service. 5. Ensure that there are no issues with permissions. |
