Event Information | 1. Start Oracle Server Manager (SVRMGR23.EXE for Oracle 7.x and SRVMGR30.EXE for Oracle 8.x). Oracle Server Manager can be located in the \ORANT\BIN directory. 2. At the command prompt, type: a. shutdown - to close the database b. startup nomount - to start the database service without mounting the database c. alter database mount exclusive - to open the database and mounts it in exclusive mode d. alter database archivelog - to enable the "ArchiveLog Mode" e. alter database open - to open the database and mounts it for general use The Oracle database is now set to the "AchiveLog Mode" and backups could be performed with the error occurring. |
