Event Information | According to the information from a news group post: This event will be seen in event log in associated with event id 4000 and 4001, when ever a bad smtp address sent out or received by the server. Followed by a server crash and rebuild this may observed. If you install service pack 3 and forgot to reinstall this after the server crash and rebuild, you may face this problem. Install this service pack will fix this problem. Resolution: Try bringing your SBS2000 server up to date on all windows updates and service packs. If that doesn't work, try re-installing the SMTP Service from "add/remove programs", then Windows components. A simple reinstall of the SMTP service should do the trick. |
