| Event Information | "According To Microsoft:" CAUSE: This event is quite similar to the 715 event. The SMTP service stores all undeliverable email to a BadMail folder. This event indicates that the SMTP component was unable to process undeliverable messages because of a lack of system resources. There are not enough resources available on the system. RESOLUTION: Resolving problems arising out of inadequate system resources can be quite tricky. Resources could mean disk space, threads, physical memory, virtual memory, etc.. Check the system and make sure that adequate resources are available. Open Task Manager and check the amount of available physical memory available. If you suspect this server is overloaded, you can use Performance Monitor to monitor the use of system resources over a time interval. Try to close some of the other applications that may be running on the server. |
