| Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: This event is similar to Event ID 715 event. The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service stores all undeliverable e-mail to a bad mail directory. This event indicates that the SMTP component was unable to process undeliverable messages because of a lack of system resources. Resolution: Resolving problems that occur because of inadequate system resources can be difficult. Resources could mean disk space, threads, physical memory, virtual memory, and so on. Check the system and make sure that adequate resources are available. Open Task Manager and check the amount of physical memory available. If you suspect this server is overloaded, use System Monitor to monitor the use of system resources over a time interval. Try to close some of the other applications that may be running on the server. |
