| Event Information | "According To Microsoft:" CAUSE: The SMTP service stores all undeliverable email to a BadMail folder. This event indicates that the SMTP component was unable to process undeliverable messages since the BadMail folder was not configured properly. As indicated by the event, this may be caused if the BadMail folder is configured incorrectly or if the permissions on that folder are incorrect. Other related events in the application and system logs may also give clues to the problem. RESOLUTION: Configure the BadMail folder properly and make sure that the permissions on the folder are configured correctly. If there is another working server you can compare the settings on that server with the problem server and make necessary changes |
