Event Information | According to Microsoft: Cause: The Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service stores all undeliverable e-mail to a bad mail directory. This event indicates that the SMTP component was unable to process undeliverable messages because the bad mail directory was not configured incorrectly. As indicated by the event, this could be caused if the bad mail directory is configured incorrectly or if the permissions on that folder are incorrect. Other related events in the application and system logs may also provide information about the problem. User Action : Configure the bad mail directory correctly and make sure that the permissions are configured correctly. If there is another working server, you can compare the settings on that server with the problem server and make necessary changes. |
