Event Information | Cause: McAfees Script Scan Module has classified the Update Agents gravitixservice.exe activity as malicious and has stopped the service. Resolution: Unregister the scriptproxy.dll file found in C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan. This can be done manually, on each individual agent machine, or the procedure can be automated through a custom package from your PATCHLINK UPDATE Server. Manually Unregister the DLL on Every Agent Machine 1.At a command prompt, cd to C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan. 2.Type regsvr32 /u scriptproxy.dll. 3.Press ENTER. 4.Restart the computer. Create a Custom Package to Unregister the DLL on Every Agent Machine 1.Download and extract uscriptproxydll.zip. 2.Use Article 198 to create a custom package to deploy the VB script in the Zip file to each agent machine experiencing the problem. a.Skip steps 8 through 10 b.In step 11, select Pre-Script c.In step 13, paste the contents of uscriptproxydll.vbs (open the .vbs file using Notepad) into the Script Editor text box |
