| Event Information | When using Sparticom Asynchronous Ports Server (SAPS) software with the
Novell intraNetWare Client for Windows NT and Citrix WinFrame, the client gives
a MUP.SYS error, followed by a message stating: "The NWLINK/SPX/SPXII service failed to start due to the following error: An instance of the service is already running. The Novell intraNetWare IPX/SPX transport interface service depends on the NWLINK SPX/SPXII interface protocol service which failed to start because of the following error: An instance of the service is already running." The SAPS service is in Control Panel, Devices. An entry called SAPS port redirector is added and set to automatically load when Windows NT boots. Follow the steps below to allow the SAPS software to work with the Novell intraNetWare Client for Windows NT Version 4.11a: 1. Change the automatic status to manual. 2. Reboot the server, letting the client services start. 3. Manually start the SAPS service. |
