Possible Causes and Solutions : Hardware failure: A hardware failure has occurred, such as a disk or network adapter failure. WMI Problem: Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is hung up or stuck in some process. Restart the WMI service. Configuration store (metabase) corrupt: The store that Application Center uses for configuration data is corrupted or unavailable. Restart the IIS Admin service by using the Services utility in Administrative Tools. |
