| Event Information | According to Microsoft:The Microsoft Exchange DXA does not ensure that Mail ALIAS (MAILBOX) names are truncated to 10 characters. Furthermore, the DXA does not remove invalid characters such as a comma.If the total length of the users alias is more than 10 characters, the names are discarded and never included in directory synchronization (dirsynch) operations. The application log shows an error and a warning for each name it discards. RESOLUTION: To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server version 5.5. |
