Error: <error description>
2.Error: Error while reading default settings. please do regsvr32 asp.dll..
Event InformationThere are various reasons for this event. This is a generic event from Active Server Pages.

If the description is:
"Error while reading default settings. please do regsvr32 asp.dll.. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp."

Cause:
After hotfixes installation and service packs, this error occurs.

Resolution:
Latest service pack should be installed and the asp.dll re-registered.

If the description is:
"File /exchange/USA/logon.asp. Unexpected error."

Resolution:
Reinstall the OWA component from the Microsoft Exchange Server compact disc. Sometimes, reinstallation of Internet Information Server is required due to corruption or problems, prior to installation of OWA.

According to Microsoft:
CAUSE:
This event is logged because the installed version of the Asp.dll file is searching for a metabase key that does not exist. However, the metabase key does not need to exist because Asp.dll uses a default value. Asp.dll logs this event log entry to recommend that you reregister Asp.dll as an overly precautious troubleshooting step.
RESOLUTION:
This event log entry is completely harmless and can be ignored.
