Description | The Agent Browsers TCP/IP module could not start because the initialization of Windows Sockets failed. It is possible that your Windows Sockets software is out of date, missing, or damaged. |
Event Information | Ensure that Ws2_32.dll is present in the Windows System32 directory. If present, make sure that it is a current version and that the file does not appear to be corrupted. If the error is still encountered after updating the file, perform any of the following: 1. Attempt to stop and restart all of the Backup Exec (tm) services 2. Reboot the Backup Exec system and any remote systems 3. Ensure the latest operating system Service Pack and Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) versions have been installed 4. Ensure the latest Backup Exec patches and service packs have been installed. |
