Event Information | When you start a Windows 2000 member server or domain controller (DC) that is running Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 (SP2), the Netlogon service may not start, and the following event may be logged in the System Event Viewer: CAUSE: This issue can occur if the Rsaenh.dll file is missing or damaged after you upgrade to Windows 2000 SP2. The Rsaenh.dll file is the Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider. When you install Windows 2000 SP2, Setup automatically converts your computer to 128-bit encryption and updates your computer with the Rsaenh.dll file. RESOLUTION: To resolve this issue, add or replace the missing or damaged Rsaenh.dll file with a known-good copy of this file from another computer. The correct version of the Rsaenh.dll file is 5.00.2195.2228, and it should be 133,904 bytes in size. |
