SourceBizTalk Server 2004
DescriptionThe receive location "c:\filesource\drop\*.txt" is shutting down. Details:"The Messaging Engine failed while notifying an adapter of its configuration
Event Information"According to Microsoft:
CAUSE:

This issue may occur if the BizTalk Server-based servers that are associated with the BizTalk Server host cannot access the Address (URI) property that is specified for the receive location.
RESOLUTION :
To resolve this issue, use one of the followig methods:
• Configure the Address (URI) property for the receive location to point to a shared folder that is available to all the BizTalk Server-based servers that are associated with the BizTalk Server host that is associated with the receive location.
• Configure the Address (URI) property for the receive location to point to a local file share. Then, create the exact file structure that is referenced by the Address (URI) property on each BizTalk Server-based server that is associated with the BizTalk Server host that is associated with the receive location.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Create a receive location on a BizTalk Server-based server that is a member of a group that contains other BizTalk Server-based servers.
2. Configure the Transport Type property of the receive location as FILE.
3. Configure the Address (URI) property of the receive location to reference a local folder that does not exist on one or more of the other BizTalk Server-based servers in the group.
4. Restart BizTalk Server 2004. The receive location will become disabled.
5. Review the Application logs of the BizTalk Server-based servers in the group where the local folder that is referenced by the receive location does not exist. "
Reference LinksBUG: The receive location may be disabled if the Transport Type property is set to FILE and the path of the receive location is not available to all servers in BizTalk Server 2004
