Description | An IO Request to the device \Device\NamedPipe did not complete or canceled within the specific timeout. This can occur if the device driver does not set a cancel routine for a given IO request packet. |
Event Information | CAUSE: This problem may occur in the Named Pipes File System (NPFS) if the following conditions are true:• A program requests an operation to be performed (for example, a read operation). • NPFS obtains a shared lock on a Volume Control Block (VCB) and then obtains an exclusive lock on the same VCB to complete the operation. • The operation is canceled by the program that requested the operation. RESOLUTION: A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. |
