Description | An exception occurred in the search synchronizer. |
Event Information | This information from some newsgroups may help you: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Go to the SharePoint Portal Server Central Administration page: Server Configuration Configure Server Farm Account Settings. Re-enter the Configuration Database Administration Account and Default Content Access Account information here (even if youre sure you entered them correctly). After struggling for a week to resolve the issue, we happened to have resolved the problem as outlined below: 1. Reinstalled SQL SP4. This probably configures all the Services utilizing the Full Text Search feature of SQL Server. 2. Delete the previous indexes for the Portal site, using Catutil.exe tool. Note: If more than one Portal site is created on the SPS Server, delete the indexes for those Portal sites too using Catutil.exe tool. 3. Navigate to Manage Search Service under Component Configuration section located in SharePoint Portal Server Central Administration 4. Click on the <server name> link under Servers and Topology section 5. Accept the default values (or change the values as per your configuration) and Click OK. 6. Navigate to the Configure search and indexing screen under Site Settings of the Portal Site, where Search is not working, and do a Full update of the Portal and Non Portal content to update the indexes. Do not do an Incremental update as the indexes are not yet built. |
